Have they given up, one or two have mentioned that we are shipping out quite a few come the end of season and thats part of the problem at the moment, lack of effort and a willingness to go the extra yard or are they just not up to it, or is it down to coaching.

Or maybe a combination of all three.

You'd think the prospect of being shipped out would make them try and up their game and put themselves in the shop window, wouldn't you? Unless they've already secured deals elsewhere and are just going through the motions.

I'm not suggesting that they have, just thought it may be playing on the minds of some players. Somethings not right within the whole set up.

I think we al know if they were playing for contracts, here or elsewhere, there'd be a higher level of effort and performance from them. Perhaps Korkidas should be put on a game-by-game contract.

I don't think all the players have given up by any means.

There are some playing at less than their best, and could be in part to not being bothered but some, from what I see, are still breaking their necks for the team but just running out of steam.
There are some players that are charging back in defense to make a tackle that is probably not worth it when you are 40-0 down, which is a great attitude, but the problem to me is they are running past other players who are not chasing. That has got to pee you off.

When we got tonked by HKR I remember commenting that some were still putting in the effort late in the game to stop the tries, and that that was a good sign....unfortunately the scores are getting out of hand and even they must give up at some stage.

I think we need to make it to the end of the season as best we can and take stock over the off season. Doesn't have to be wholesale changes, just a few key players in and out.

I've heard a rumor that Blaymire has signed a 3 year deal at Salford. From a good source too.

There was a post a while back suggesting this with Ratchford coming the other way. I must admit it seemed a strange deal to me.

How many fullbacks do they want ? If true

Where's he going to play? Certainly not full back.

They could always play Patten at half back, he tends to come into the attacking line quite a bit and act as a halve when playing at canterbury...
