Eamonn mentioned last week on GMR that there will be a major announcement this week on the new stadium?

Question: Anyone know if anything is is likely to be announced today/tomorrow?

Word on the street is that the announcement has been cancelled but dont know why.

got told last night it had been cancelled, dont know if its correct or not, but the source seemed positive, he also said that the solicitors Langtree use have gone into administration, if true that could be the cause of the delay.
I am only passing on what I have heard, it might all be a load of rubbish.

I think the announcement was about the contractor selection so any issue with Langtrees solicitor would have affected that.

Didn't the directors have a board meeting last night to approve the new coach appointment too?

I heard there was some form of announcement being made today, didn,t realise it was about the ground. Thought it was going to be about a player or new coach.

The stadium has been cancelled. We're to play our home games on Sherdley Park until further notice.

Halliwells are continuing to operate as normal so that shouldn't be the cause of any delay (if there is a delay).

Not quite the full story. Halliwells are presently selling off their business to various interested parties and it is while they are in the process of doing that that they have requested a stay over appointing an administrator. They are operating but hardly as normal.

Nope. I've just been reading about where they are up to, that's all. Who Langtree will end up with I don't know but although the reports claim that the transition will be 'seemless', it's hard to imagine that the new firm won't want to take a good look at the various portfolios before committing themselves to providing advice, etc.
