There were six Sunday matches for round two of the Betfred Championship with the remaining game between promotion hopefuls Leigh and Featherstone having been chosen as the televised game by Premier Sports for Monday night.
Bradford had a home game against the Sheffield Eagles while London had to travel to Halifax to take on the Panthers. Batley were at Newcastle, Workington at Widnes and York hosted Dewsbury while there was a Cumbrian derby between Whitehaven and Barrow.
Widnes Vikings continued their impressive start to the season with a big win over Workington Town which ensures that they spend Sunday night at the top of the pile. Holroyd, Davies and Wilde saw the Vikings 18-0 ahead after twelve minutes. Fitzsimmons got one back for Ton but two more tries from Craven and Fozard before the interval had already seen the Vikings secure the win, despite Barnes scoring on the hooter. A Lawton try, the first of a hat-trick, was the first score of the second half before Brown got the third for Workington for 36-18 before the Widnes onslaught began. In the closing twenty-five minutes there were tries from Lawton (2), Craven, Fleming, Wilde and Dupree in a twelve try haul for a 70-18 win in a game with more than a point a minute.

London Broncos were kept pointless on the road at Halifax where the home side managed just one first half try from Kavanagh for a 6-0 interval lead. Aston, Garside and Barber scored in a devastating ten-minute spell before Moore added a fifth Panthers try just before the final hooter for a final score of 28-0.
Barrow opened their account after two minutes through Toal in their local derby with Whitehaven and when Shaw and Miloudi added their own four pointers later in the half the visitors were 18-0 ahead. Although they couldn´t add to their haul in the second half they kept ´Haven to a single unconverted try from Holliday on the hour mark for a final score of 4-18.
Batley took the lead on the road at Newcastle through Campbell but Johnson got his side within two on twenty minutes. Campbells second extended the lead to 12-4 at the break and he completed his hat-trick just after the restart. O´Neill and Gallagher gave the home side some hope as they moved to 14-16 after an hour but with three tries in the closing twenty from Hooley, Morton and Kaye it was the Bulldogs taking the points back down to West Yorkshire.
The Bradford Bulls hit the front early through Gill and a try from Johnson for the Eagles levelled the scores at 6-6 going into the interval in what looked like it might be a close game. Evans edged Bradford ahead again as the game neared the hour mark before three tries in thirteen minutes from Halafihi, Oakes and Thackeray saw the Eagles as runaway 28-14 victors.
