Alternatively, Tube from Victoria to Vauxhaul ( Victoria Line Pale Blue).

Change to the Overground and get a train to Twickenham.

15 minute walk to the ground.

Get a route 507 bus from Victoria to Waterloo roughly 17 minutes.
5 minutes service

Train from Waterloo to Twickenham roughly 20-30 mins

If you want to go the worst route, follow this advice.

Seriously what is the point of getting a bus to Waterloo when you could just go straight to Clapham Junction from Victoria and pick up the fast train to Twickenham?

My way is
1 train return, 1 bus return

No. Your way is Victoria > Bus > Waterloo > Train

The sensible way is Victoria train > Clapham Junction (seven minutes) then Clapham Junction > Twickenham (13 minutes)

Why would you spend more money getting the bus as well into the bargain? London Terminals to Twickenham is the same price from Victoria as it is Waterloo. Despite changing at Clapham Junction this option is still quicker and cheaper than getting a bus to Waterloo and back. Bizarre.
