| Not sure what to expect of this game. We came back from France with our tails between our legs, well beaten and with a few injuries apparently (Holmes, Blake, Okunbor, Taufua, Pele) Not sure how serious they are - makes our decision not to sign Tindall look a bit daft given the lack of cover in the backs. Then we have Salford who are in a proper pickle that will be very familiar to us. No idea what kind of side they'll put out or how committed they'll be. As we know if can go one of two ways - backs to the wall or complete capitulation. If we go through to the next round - and this is probably very unlikely - where does it leave us with the 1895 Cup? Do we get IMG points for going deep in the challenge cup? If not then it's probably not worth risking anyone this week.

| Am I correct in saying Salford are still in special measures?

| Yes Salford are indeed still in special measures, they have put out almost the same 17 as their last game v Cas.

| Should make things interesting and if we can get back to the standard of play from that first half performance v Cas we must be in with a shout, although, as has been pointed out, how valuable is it for us to progress in a competition where there are no img points on offer?
