Goals was always going to be a problem and was highlighted by many commentators at the conclusion of the transfer window. Tad makes some excellent points about the shortcomings of certain players who seem beyond criticism here. If Piroe is the best scoring option then the team need to play to his strengths. Coaching attack is not a strength of Farke and as fans have to accept that.
Farke is no Bielsa but he will win as many games and surely fans have to trust his judgement? Having said that Leeds look a completely different team away from Elland Rd and Farke needs to address that.
So the only change is Rothwell for Gruev. Come on Danny Boy Aaronson does not deserve his place in the eleven and we need to freshen up our attack. Surely us fans know best!
Not pretty but we ground it out. Good effort from the lads after Sunday, a lot of hard work in there tonight. Pleased for Tanaka getting that goal, good to see him bounce back from his poor display at Portsmouth. Can’t believe in two and a half days we kick off again…..jeez.
Solomon and Aaronson my pick of the players. the rest worked there socks off, put in a huge shift. big 3 points. and thanks for closing the motorway on a match night.
Only one M.O.M for me, Rothwell. We’re a totally different team with him in. Tanaka’s was nice and tidy also, they worked the midfield well together. The lads wouldn’t thank me for it, but I’d have ‘em all on shooting practice on Friday. Don’t think I’ve seen as many shots miss the target from so many players. Good job their defender was a good finisher lol.
Agree with the above. Rothwell MOM. we're so much better when hes playing and in form. Aaronson goodd but his end product is poor, the amount of time his misses target or shoots into a defender is unreal... but he did play well. Tanaka much better, cracking goal. Piroe very good also imo, moved ball well and held it up when needed. James had an off night, i'd have taken him off at 60mins to rest him for Saturday and put Gnonto on but hey ho.
