Buderus is 100% leaving at the end of the year, so hopefully he's helped bring on these youngsters. Fwiw, Buderus is up there with the technically best players I've ever seen in the Blue and Amber, he's superb!

Will that be his legacy then? Rather than slightly underwhelming overall as a player he's hypnotised our fanbase to such an extent that any success achieved by McShane or Hood will be solely down to showering next to Buderus, so awe inspiring is he.

so do these deals mean that they are both contracted to the club till 2015 or 2016, being new contracts, it does say whether they start now or 2012.

Great news this and good business sense. With the salary cap tripling in Oz we need to throw our money at the younger players and not waste the salary cap on lazy washed up has beens that have over-inflated egos - no names mentioned but he has a book on sale



This is why we had to let Matt Diskin go, as good as he was he was ageing and his knees were dodgy. This was proven when he was out for half the season at the Bulls.

Not really the point I was making but the evidence is slightly stronger than it would've been had the players been released or been offered much shorter deals.

Of course it could be argued that the club feel so short-changed by Buderus's contributions that they'll do anything other than sign another aging aussie to fill the hooking role

According to some of the "negative tools" on here McShane was going to leave because of his treatment by McDermott...the fact that McShane said the opposite in the press wasn't good enough to dispel this...so is a 4 year deal???
