Has anyone got home yet? I hear the M6 was closed?

It's 11.15pm and a couple of friends have just managed to get on the M62.

Well I have to say a huge thank you to Workington for getting the game on today and basically sacrificing their pitch, we had gone up there Friday night to make a weekend of it so it would have been a big let down if it had been off.
It had been raining nearly all weekend and the pitch was very wet and had standing water on it and as the game went on it became a mud bath none of the players on both sides were recognisable it was a good old fashioned slog with lots of dropped balls.
We did well considering the conditions and at the end of the game were the ones who still had energy to see the game out whilst they were out on their feet.
Glad we got that one out of the way and once again thanks for getting the game on Worky.

We heard the M6 was closed and knew the diversion was onto a B road so chose to go down the coast road towards Barrow which was a drag but sounds like we did the right thing we got home at 9.15pm after leaving Workington at 6pm.

Made it home at last and although hard viewing to get any sort of win in those conditions is always nice and it seems RM got this one tactically spot on.

We did same as fax for Life. Got home at 9.30pm. Good win for the lads in those conditions. Glad we dont havé to go up there midweek. Hope we dont get them in cup.

I'll take that any day of the week, well done lads it's always a good result to get 2 points at Worky.

Well....we got home at 0045 today! That included a 45 minute refreshment stop, never known owt like it, but at the end of the day some poor person has died, although I don't know why the motorway has to be closed for NINE hours. As for the match, it really shouldn't have gone on although I'm glad it did. A great effort by both sets of players and at the end of the season we might be looking back at this match and realising what a great two points we came back with. Up The Fax!
