I emailed Carl on Wednesday night to congratulate him on the signing of Makali Aizue and he told me that the other player had been signed but it would not be announced until Friday. However he asked me to keep it quiet which I have so maybe he is not happy that someone else has let the cat out the bag. Perhaps the announcement is being held back deliberately because of that.

I wonder if Misi Taulapapa fancies a season in C1 after being released by Sheffield?
(Doesn't want a full time contract if reports are true).

I was wondering this myself -the report I read in the paper was dated October 2nd ie the day before the announcement - seems a bit of a coincidence doesn't it?

Also we would be local as he wanted to look after his business as I recall (which is presumably based in Sheffield). We have the Keepmoat Stadium and Peter Green as assistant coach so a Sheffield player or two coming our way seems to fit.
